They have racked up a following of over 288k and share the best photos / videos our Irish talent has to offer, simply tag #loveireland to potentially get reposted yourself.
This Dublin-based brand was founded by sisters Izzy and Ailbhe Keane in an effort to make wheelchairs more stylish. Izzy was born with Spina Bifida and is paralysed from the waist down. Her sister realised that Izzy’s wheelchair was the first thing people noticed about her, but it didn’t reflect her bright personality — so the two decided to do something about that. Now the pair work together to create stylish covers for wheelchairs to allow users to express their individuality and they’ve managed to utilise Instagram to the fullest in order to really showcase and promote these beautifully vibrant designs.
The Happy Pear are without a doubt one of the best brands for really utilising Instagram in every aspect. They are super fun as well as being informative and they even plug their brand quite a lot without coming across as too ‘salesy’ (a rare talent). You’ll notice they often play with food items to create eye-catching and creative photo compositions. Folkster is the shopping destination for fashion loving folks – owned by Irish stylist Blanaid Hennessy. These guys use all of the Instagram tools available to really exhibit their products as true to life as possible. Using video, stories and imagery, as well as featuring quirky location shoots such as the desert, their content really does stand out. This Irish boutique are winning on social media right now and are definitely worth a follow.
With a similar concept to Tourism Ireland, Lovin Dublin post a lot of user-generated content to their Instagram account promoting the hashtag #lovindublin. And alike Tourism Ireland, they do get some truly spectacular imagery from around Dublin & Ireland but not just of beautiful scenery, there’s an abundance of perfectly timed photos capturing people and animals too (the photo of Eileen & her grandson Jack sledging in the snow being a personal favourite of ours!). By promoting other users’ photos they have gained themselves an endless supply of highly engaging content to push out via their channel, any business that can establish this idea of user-generated content will do very well on Instagram.
Roz Purcell set up Natural Born Feeder in 2013 to document her love of cooking and to share her recipes.
