ABOUT THE BRICKHOUSE
Iconic Offices are supporters and collectors of art and design but also supporters of entrepreneurs, creatives and young talent. We wanted to incorporate up and coming art from budding art students into the latest centre, The Brickhouse.
Our aim is to create art on the walls of The Brickhouse that both compliment and reflect the creativity and working energy of its members. The building will support and empower vibrant, growing businesses so it makes natural sense to work with artists who are growing and establishing themselves presently.
ABOUT THE COMPETITION
We are seeking unique “up and coming” art and design students from IADT and NCAD to help us make our new building Iconic, through art. We are looking for pieces that are original and exciting, pieces that bring the space to life.
The Brickhouse will be an active and vibrant workspace environment and we would like fun and quirky art to compliment it. We are offering students’ walls in this amazing space, where the possibilities are endless. We want the students to introduce form, texture, sketch and paint to the walls in their own style. Versatility and innovation is what we are looking for, reflecting the personalities of our diverse membership base.
ARTWORKS AND PRIZES
The 20 winning finalists will be chosen and allocated wall spaces throughout The Brickhouse. The winners will be notified and given a €100 kitty each for art supplies and two days (Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th March) in The Brickhouse with their wall to complete their artworks.
The judging panel will walk the space to choose the overall 3 winners as part of the event on Monday 3rd April. This event will be hosted at The Brickhouse along with media coverage. The final 3 winners will be announced that evening. Prizes will be as follows:
1st Prize: €2,000 cash prize
2nd Prize: €1,000 cash prize
3rd Prize: €500 cash prize
PRESS/ PR AND PROMOTION
We will be profiling the final 20 students for our own website and potential media coverage. The final event and the art/artists will also be covered by media and on social etc,.
This is a great opportunity for up and coming artists/ students to have their work placed on a feature wall in a busy building in Dublin City Centre premises.
