What actually is stress? How do we know when we’re stressed? What can we do about it?

This talk aims to explore stress, and its causes and consequences. We’ll also look at a range of different strategies to help deal with stress.

Why do we sometimes respond so differently to ‘stressful’ situations? Why do some of us get tense, some of us worry constantly, while some of us get irritable, and others become clumsy and forgetful?

This is a huge topic – with a lot of highly esteemed scientists and practitioners having various opinions and strategies.

The fact that there are many different responses to stress, and so many different experts mean there is a huge range of tips, tools and techniques to deal with it.

For this talk, we will explore ‘dealing’ with stress in three broad ways. The audience will also learn numerous strategies to address the symptoms of stress, and how to pick a strategy that will be most effective for their situation – so that they can make an informed decision and choose a solution that works for them.

So, if you want to better understand stress, and what you can do about it, come along.
