ABOUT THE MASONRY

Spanning 70,000sq ft over 6 floors, The Masonry is a truly unique property, one of the rare repurposed warehouses in Dublin City. The spae comprises of c.40,000 sq ft of Georgian office space to the front, interconnecting to c.30,000 sq ft of brick and beam warehouse.

The Masonry will offer everything that professionals and companies require under one roof. From world-class IT infrastructure and on-site community teams to internal heated courtyards, large event space holding up to approx 100 people and exciting plans for a café and restaurant (spp).

Once a former seed warehouse, 151 Thomas Street will now be a lively workspace, enhancing inspiration and creative productivity. Much of the original features have been restored and retained to honour the history and character of the building while modernising the development for the needs of today’s business professionals.

THE DESIGN APPROACH

The design approach for The Masonry focuses on the importance of embracing and exposing the existing building aesthetic. The unique character of the building is accented through new artwork, bringing an element of playfulness to the design.

Modern adaptations have been made, sympathetically, adding to the current, unique character. A similar approach has been taken while selecting furniture throughout – nodding to classic design, with a colourful and contemporary twist. Salvaged items of furniture have been hand-picked and reinserted into the new design, maintaining elements of this incredible building’s industrial past.

In contrast, the rear office floors and coworking spaces offer a “New York Loft” style look and feel.
